I'm not the type of person who wishes ill will on other people. For instance when I hear horrible stories about people abusing animals or other people I don't wish for them to receive the same. I only wish for some kind of justice.
So what kind of justice should Shintaro Ishihara receive for saying: "the disaster was 'punishment from heaven" because Japanese have become greedy" ? Personally I would say running him out of office would be a start!
Seriously! I know we have nut-jobs like that here in America and I've heard it dozens of times in the past, but it never fails to sicken me. Yes I know this guy has every right to say what he wants. Freedom of speech and all that, but it would be nice if he opened his mouth just once without sticking his foot in it! I'm not 100% sure, but I have a feeling that Shintaro isn't suffering much right now. Obviously he wasn't there when 2,000 dead bodies washed up on the shores of Japan. Obviously he didn't need to be airlifted out of a flooding city.
Well let's hope Japan get's a new governor. A better one.
EDIT: "I just wanted to add something I noticed. Shintaro never refers to the Japanese people as "Us" or "We". It's like he's separating himself from them."
